On Thursday 31st January 2008 a burglary occurred at a house on Hillside Road, Rothbury between 11am & 1 pm. This is a very rare occurrence indeed, the last burglary in the area was over 12 months ago, nevertheless, I would urge you to be extra vigilant and take all steps to secure your property:

i]  Make sure you lock doors and windows and use your alarm when going out.
ii]  Try not to leave valuables on display in either your house or car.
iii]  If going away inform your neighbours and try and use timer lights if possible
iv]  Please report any suspicious people or vehicles, make a note of descriptions or registration numbers. Criminals may pose as workmen or ramblers
