Rothbury Bridge

Note there are no doors in the end of the Boys school (east end of bridge), these were a later addition and the school is now a car accessory shop. In the left of the photo can just be made out the shape of the then 'County Hotel', now the RAAFA home. The Gravelly Bank leading up to hillside road, can be made out to the right of the Hotel - note the lack of houses on the Old Photo's of Bridge Street & Hillside. There is no large house on 'Haw Hill' facing the bridge as is seen today. The old Blacksmiths at the west end of the bridge is notable for the two buildings seen here, there is only one today.
