We are attempting to place various historic ‘plaques’ and ‘display units’ around our village. We would be interested to hear from anyone who knows of a spot in Rothbury they think would be of interest (historically) to both locals and visitors alike, for example :-  ‘Donkins Well’, or the site of the hostelry where the supporters of the Jacobite cause met en-route to meet up with ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’, or Beggars Rigg, or the old workhouses etc etc.
