the Elderly
| Contact
the Elderly |

What we do :- When older people live alone, without family or friends living
nearby, loneliness can become their only companion. Many prefer to live independently, yet it can be a hard and lonely
road.
"I felt that I had come out of a dark tunnel into the light.
Before I joined Contact, I thought that my life had ended - and now it's
started again!" an elderly guest.
We help people aged 75 or older. They are lonely, live at home on
their own and are unable to easily get out of the house unaided.
Small local groups use volunteer drivers who each pick up 1 or 2
elderly people from their own homes. They take them to the home of a
volunteer host where the volunteers and older people spend a few hours
together with afternoon tea, usually on a Sunday

Footprint Friends calls
all VIP Young People, parents and influencers to sign up and get
involved.
Why?
We all leave footprints and we need to demonstrate that people
around the world do actually care about our future generations and the
state of the planet both now and in the future.
If you are 11-18 and think about what ‘climate change’ could mean to
you, think about this: We can share information all over the world and
by our numbers take part in the decision making for all of our futures. [19
