Duke
of Northumberland to officially open Rothbury Golf Course

On Saturday 14th July
2007, Rothbury's new Golf Course will be officially opened. A new
clubhouse has been built and, as part of a nine year project, the course
has been extended to 18 holes. Membership has risen and the newly formed
category of 'social member' has had to be closed for the moment due to its popularity. |

Fran and Duncan Elson,
who set up the second Rothbury Scout Group in 1989, are stepping down.
They have both held the posts of Group Scout Leader and a presentation
will be made on Tuesday 17th July at Tomlinson's Middle School , Rothbury.
There will also be presentations of awards to youth members of the group
by the District Commissioner. All current and past members are invited
to attend. Any previous members interested in attending should
